Binance presented its Monthly Market Outlook Report for April 2025, highlighting

key trends and the recent performance of cryptocurrencies. The report provides a detailed analysis of the digital asset market, regulatory advancements, and major areas of change in the ecosystem.

Market Decline in March.

In March, the global cryptocurrency market experienced a 4.4% decline, influenced by macroeconomic uncertainty caused by the United States Federal Reserve’s interest rate policies and international trade tensions.

This situation led to the liquidation of over one billion dollars in the derivatives markets. Despite this setback, the report highlights significant advances in sector regulation, such as the GENIUS Act and new guidelines issued by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), suggesting that adoption in the mainstream cryptocurrency market will continue its course.

Bitcoin Holding Recovery.

After bottoming out in February, the holdings of Bitcoin (BTC) by long-term holders have begun to increase again.

This rebound coincides with the development of the Bitcoin DeFi (BTCFi) ecosystem, which has experienced a 2767% year-on-year growth in its total value locked (TVL), rising from US$0.3 billion to US$8.6 billion.

This increase reinforces Bitcoin’s role as a yield-generating asset in the market.

Decentralized Exchanges Changing.

In the decentralized exchange (DEX) space, significant changes in market share have occurred. Uniswap lost ground, falling to 29%, while PancakeSwap surpassed it in February.

Additionally, PumpSwap has emerged as a rapidly growing player in the Solana memecoin ecosystem, standing out among the new participants in this space.

DeFi and NFTs in Numbers.

The report also addresses the state of DeFi and NFTs. Although the total value locked (TVL) in DeFi recorded a monthly decline of 1.5%, the stablecoin market experienced a 4.4% growth.

As for NFTs, the global market saw a 12.4% decrease in total sales volume. However, Panini NFTs stood out with an impressive 259.2% increase, reflecting the growing interest of traditional brands in this digital sector.

Binance Wallet Growth.

Binance Wallet reached more than 50% market share in exchanges by mid-March, in a context of growing activity on the BNB Chain.

In just one week, its exchange volume surged from US$43.6 million to US$351.7 million, demonstrating the increase in adoption and use of the platform.
