TCS and AMD push AI beyond pilot projects

A global collaboration aims to close the gap between AI pilots and their real impact on organizations.
The need to transform artificial intelligence into a practical, reliable, and everyday tool for businesses is driving new alliances in the technology industry. With this goal, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and AMD have announced a strategic collaboration designed to help organizations scale AI adoption from pilot projects to production environments, modernize legacy systems, and build safer, more efficient digital workplaces.
The agreement combines TCS’s industry expertise and system integration capabilities with AMD’s leadership in high-performance computing and its portfolio of AI solutions.
Through this joint effort, both companies aim to accelerate the modernization of hybrid cloud and edge environments, as well as drive innovation across workloads spanning from the cloud to the network edge.
Industry-specific solutions
As part of the collaboration, TCS and AMD plan to co-develop AI and Generative AI solutions tailored to specific industries. These initiatives will focus on sectors such as life sciences, with applications in drug discovery; manufacturing, through cognitive quality engineering and smart manufacturing; and BFSI, with intelligent risk management solutions.
The collaboration also envisions the creation of frameworks, accelerators, and best practices designed to optimize both AI model training and inference.
TCS will also train and certify its workforce in AMD hardware and software technologies, aiming to build a global pool of specialized talent.
Both companies intend to jointly invest in developing experts capable of co-innovating and delivering next-generation AI solutions adapted to each industry’s unique needs.

Technological foundation
On the technology front, TCS will collaborate with AMD to integrate client solutions based on Ryzen™ CPUs to support workplace transformation. It will also leverage AMD EPYC™ CPUs, AMD Instinct™ GPUs, and AI accelerators to modernize hybrid cloud environments and high-performance computing. AMD’s embedded computing portfolio will further drive innovation at the edge, in inference, and in industrial digitalization through adaptive System-on-Chips (SoCs) and FPGAs.
TCS’s expertise in designing and delivering customized solutions based on advanced semiconductors complements AMD’s platforms, laying the groundwork for jointly developing next-generation AI and computing solutions.
Through this alliance, both companies aim to guide enterprises in adapting to the era of artificial intelligence with practical, scalable approaches that address real business challenges.
