Truecaller surpasses 500 million users amid growth surge

What does it mean when half the world relies on a single platform to filter calls and fraud attempts?
The answer lies in the 500 million users Truecaller has reached globally.
For millions of people, answering the phone is no longer an automatic action but a decision shaped by uncertainty. That everyday feeling is precisely the backdrop against which Truecaller has reached a new global milestone.
The secure communications platform announced it has surpassed 500 million users worldwide, a level of growth that reflects rising concerns over spam, scams, and unwanted communications. In 2025 alone, the company added more than 50 million new users.
Sustained global growth.
In parallel, Truecaller surpassed 4 million paying subscribers globally earlier this year, strengthening one of its main revenue streams. According to the company, this level of adoption highlights how digital trust has become an essential layer of modern communication.
Rishit Jhunjhunwala, CEO of Truecaller, said:
“This is an important milestone for us, but it also says something bigger about the world we live in. More and more people need help managing spam, scams, and unwanted communications on a daily basis. Reaching 500 million users demonstrates the scale of that need, as well as the trust people place in Truecaller to make communication safer. Our commitment remains focused on continuously strengthening Truecaller with smarter technology and new capabilities that protect users before, during, and after every call or message. Ultimately, our goal is to build a safer and more trusted communication ecosystem for everyone. We are now setting our sights on the next milestone: reaching 1 billion users.”
Platform evolution.
With 500 million monthly active users, the platform has evolved beyond caller identification. Today, it functions as a verification and protection layer that helps users identify unknown contacts, avoid fraud, and make more informed decisions about their interactions.
The company describes its service as a global digital utility platform, embedded in everyday communication habits. Its features range from identifying unknown callers to preventing fraud and enabling safer messaging tools.
Operations and outlook.
Despite its global scale, Truecaller maintains a lean structure of approximately 470 employees responsible for developing and operating the platform across different markets.
The company also stated it will continue reporting average monthly and daily active users on a quarterly basis, as part of its interim financial reporting.
