Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has sealed

a five-year strategic alliance with Air New Zealand. The goal of this agreement is to modernize the airline’s digital infrastructure and position it at the forefront of innovation driven by artificial intelligence (AI).

Alliance to Transform Infrastructure.

This collaboration aims to strengthen Air New Zealand’s digital capabilities, enhance the customer experience, and optimize operational efficiency in key areas such as fleet management, crew scheduling, and ground services.

The agreement was announced at an event held at TCS’s Banyan Park campus in Mumbai, with the presence of New Zealand’s Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, Tata Group Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Air New Zealand CEO Greg Foran, and TCS CEO and Managing Director K. Krithivasan.

Air New Zealand operates a global network of passenger and cargo transport services across 49 national and international destinations. Each year, the airline transports over 15 million passengers on more than 3,400 weekly flights.

TCS will integrate AI-powered automation and cloud technologies into more than 600 critical applications for the airline, innovating in areas such as cargo management, disruption handling, digital commerce, maintenance systems, and crew operations.

Furthermore, workforce transformation will be a key aspect of this alliance. TCS will lead large-scale training programs to enhance Air New Zealand’s team’s digital capabilities in AI, cybersecurity, and digital engineering.
