TCS creates dedicated business unit for Anthropic’s Claude models

Deploying AI in production environments remains a challenge for organizations operating under regulatory requirements and high standards of oversight.
TCS will establish a dedicated business unit to develop enterprise solutions and services based on Anthropic’s Claude models.
Enterprise AI adoption in corporate environments continues to advance, although many initiatives still face obstacles in moving from experimentation to large-scale operations, particularly in regulated industries.
In this context, TCS and Anthropic announced a global strategic partnership to help organizations scale enterprise AI adoption through the Claude family of models.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will establish a dedicated business unit focused on developing customer value propositions, joint industry solutions and specialized artificial intelligence capabilities based on Claude models, with early access to future versions of the technology.
Driving adoption.
The partnership aims to address one of the main challenges of enterprise AI: the transition from pilot projects to production deployments. In regulated industries, where requirements for accuracy, traceability and oversight are more stringent, TCS’s expertise in governance, controls and implementation will be combined with Claude’s capabilities to facilitate enterprise-scale deployments.
As a Global Premier Partner within the Claude Partner Network, TCS will bring these models to organizations that require high levels of accuracy, integration, resilience and governance. The collaboration includes internal deployments, joint go-to-market offerings, co-innovation initiatives and talent development programs.

TCS will also deploy Claude through enterprise licensing for 50,000 employees across areas including engineering, finance, legal, marketing and sales. The company said this internal adoption will allow it to gain direct operational experience and transfer those learnings to customer projects.
Joint industry solutions.
The partnership includes the joint development of AI solutions and services for sectors such as financial services, utilities, life sciences, healthcare, aviation, telecommunications and medical technology.
Both companies will work on initiatives focused on industry-specific workflows, technology modernization and customer experience transformation, supported by consulting, engineering and managed services capabilities.
In addition, the collaboration will extend to specialized TCS products and platforms. In the United Kingdom, Diligenta — the FCA-regulated life and pensions business serving more than 22 million customers — will use Claude to support process transformation initiatives.
Meanwhile, the BFSI Products and Platforms teams will use Claude Code to drive productivity in software engineering and IT operations.
In India, TCS iON — which conducts more than 75 million assessments annually across 1,500 cities — will incorporate training and certification programs on Claude models with the goal of helping develop AI-related capabilities.
Capabilities and training.
TCS will also contribute domain-specific engineering expertise to the Claude Code ecosystem through reusable skills and extensions for specialized processes, including capabilities related to claims settlement and lending advisory services.
In practice, the partnership between TCS and Anthropic combines AI capabilities, industry expertise, talent development and internal technology adoption to support enterprise implementations of Claude models.
- Krithivasan, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Consultancy Services, explained:
”The value of enterprise AI comes from understanding business context, orchestrating complex systems and applying deep AI engineering talent. By combining Claude with our industry expertise, engineering rigor and large-scale transformation capabilities, we will help clients reach production faster, especially in industries where trust, resilience and regulatory discipline are critical. This partnership reflects TCS’s broader strategy of helping clients become perpetually adaptive enterprises, transforming frontier AI into enterprise-scale transformation.”
For his part, Dario Amodei said:
”We built Claude to be safe, reliable and useful, particularly in contexts where accuracy matters most. This partnership deepens our commitment to India, our second-largest market, with TCS bringing Claude to enterprises and professionals across the region and globally, including 50,000 of its employees.”
- Chandrasekaran commented:
”This partnership reflects our shared conviction that AI will be foundational and transformative for businesses around the world. By combining Anthropic’s capabilities with the Tata Group’s scale, trusted relationships and commitment to nation-building, we will accelerate business reinvention and equip India’s youth with the skills to lead in the AI era.”
Together, the partnership between TCS and Anthropic combines technology deployment, talent development and industry-specific solutions with the goal of expanding enterprise use of Claude models across organizations in different sectors and regions.
