Globant and Autodesk target industrial operations with digital twins

The companies said the collaboration will combine operational data, AI systems and digital twins to support real-time management of physical assets.

The adoption of digital twins and physical AI systems is accelerating the operational transformation of infrastructure- and data-intensive industries.

Globant and Autodesk Tandem expanded their collaboration to accelerate digital twin deployments across sectors including airports, manufacturing and logistics.

The integration of artificial intelligence, operational data and digital models is accelerating the development of platforms designed to manage physical assets in real time across industries such as manufacturing, infrastructure, logistics and airport operations.

In this context, Globant announced it was named an Autodesk Tandem solutions provider, expanding a 15-year collaboration with Autodesk focused on accelerating digital twin deployments in complex environments worldwide.

The partnership aims to combine Globant’s expertise in enterprise systems and operational data with Autodesk Tandem’s cloud-based digital twin platform to support implementations across airports, smart buildings, industrial facilities and logistics operations.

Physical AI and operations.

According to the companies, the collaboration will include implementation services, technology integration and operational data enablement designed to connect physical assets with intelligent operational systems and real-time analytics.

In practice, this involves combining data from design and construction models with building management platforms and operational systems to evolve from static representations toward predictive intelligence and real-time monitoring capabilities for physical assets.

Globant stated that the initiative will be developed through its Digital Twins practice, focused on Physical AI initiatives and intelligent operational platforms built around connected data.

The companies noted that the global digital twins market could grow from USD 21.14 billion in 2025 to USD 149.81 billion by 2030, driven by broader adoption of connected platforms and AI-enabled systems across industrial and infrastructure sectors.

Kevin Janzen, CEO of the Gaming & EdTech AI Studio at Globant, noted:

“The real value of a digital twin lies in moving from a passive digital representation to a predictive engine. By combining Autodesk Tandem’s visualization capabilities with Globant’s integration expertise, we are establishing a new operational standard for industries that until now could not fully leverage the potential of BIM technology.”

Expansion of digital twins.

The collaboration also aims to expand the use of digital twins beyond traditional architecture and construction projects into industrial operations, logistics, energy, retail and life sciences.

According to the companies, implementations will focus on industries with high operational complexity and large volumes of distributed data, including airport operations, smart buildings and industrial facilities.

Hayli Hay, Director of Digital Twins Alliances at Autodesk, stated:

“Leveraging Globant’s Digital Twins practice allows us to support Tandem customers through the requirements needed to implement digital twins and gives them the opportunity to delegate development and integration to a trusted partner. With Globant’s support, we will help companies maximize Autodesk Tandem and Tandem Connect within their digital transformation processes.”

AI and productivity.

Globant also stated that the collaboration will include AI-driven delivery models designed to accelerate productivity and innovation across enterprise operations.

Felipe Miranda, CEO of the High Tech Studio at Globant, added:

“Today we are accelerating that collaboration through AI-driven delivery models that increase productivity and accelerate innovation at scale.”

Looking ahead to 2026, the company expects to advance proof-of-concept initiatives related to Physical AI systems and digital twins integrated with operational data and intelligent decision-making platforms.
