TCS and GitLab team up to scale AI Agents for DevSecOps

In this context, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and GitLab Inc. have announced a partnership to integrate AI-driven automation and intelligent orchestration into enterprise software development.
The collaboration combines TCS’s AI-powered business transformation capabilities with GitLab’s pre-built AI agents and orchestration tools, aiming to help organizations accelerate software delivery, enhance security, and coordinate AI agents throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).

The platform offers a range of AI agent capabilities, including agent chat, core agents developed by GitLab experts, custom agents to automate complex development tasks, and integration with external AI tools.
These integrations include solutions such as Claude Code from Anthropic and OpenAI’s Codex CLI, alongside governance and security controls.
As part of the partnership, TCS will develop AI workflow templates tailored to specific industries, as well as pre-built agents addressing common use cases. The goal is to facilitate adoption of AI-driven development practices and accelerate the time it takes for organizations to realize value from these technologies.
The collaboration also aims to modernize legacy development practices and implement GitLab’s comprehensive platform to create automated workflows spanning planning to production.
