Kaizen Gaming scales sustainability volunteering in Latin America and Europe

Corporate volunteer initiatives continue to expand their reach across environmental and social projects.
Kaizen Gaming mobilized 237 employees in sustainability and biodiversity initiatives across nine countries.
Kaizen Gaming, one of the world’s largest GameTech companies and owner of Betano, completed a new edition of “The Collective,” its international volunteer program focused on environmental sustainability, biodiversity and animal welfare initiatives.
This cycle involved 237 company employees, known as Kaizeners, who carried out activities across 10 locations in nine countries and accumulated 962 volunteer hours in partnership with non-governmental organizations.
The company also donated 80,000 euros to partner organizations, directly benefiting more than 24,000 people and 350 animals globally. The program recorded a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 94%, reflecting high levels of employee participation and satisfaction.
Expansion of corporate volunteering.
The program reflects the growing expansion of corporate volunteer initiatives into projects linked to environmental restoration, recycling, animal protection, community recovery and social support programs across the markets where the company operates.
Activities developed through The Collective included ecological restoration initiatives, environmental maintenance, community infrastructure recovery, support for recycling operations, mentorship and wildlife care projects across Latin America and Europe.
In Tenjo, Colombia, volunteers worked alongside Fundación Al Verde Vivo to plant 80 native trees within a protected reserve as part of efforts aimed at strengthening biodiversity restoration and ecological resilience.
In São Paulo, Brazil, Kaizeners supported the recycling cooperative COOPER VIVA BEM, which processes nearly 20 tons of materials per day. In Buenos Aires, Argentina, they collaborated with Sintientes on rescued animal care and awareness initiatives related to animal protection.
International environmental projects.
The initiatives also included environmental projects in Greece, Malta, Portugal, Romania and Bulgaria. In Thessaloniki, volunteers worked alongside MAMAGEA to maintain more than 700 trees and plants in the Neapolis Food Forest and create more than 500 seed bombs to support reforestation efforts.
In Athens, activities included restoring 220 meters of forest road on Mount Hymettus together with the Philodassiki Society, as well as wildlife rehabilitation initiatives with the ANIMA center.
Volunteers also participated in cleanup and maintenance activities, including painting nine enclosures used to care for more than 80 animals, including birds of prey and turtles.
In Bucharest, Romania, Kaizeners worked alongside Asociatia Sache on feeding, basic care and welfare support for rescued animals, while in Leiria, Portugal, they partnered with Reerguer Leiria on cleanup operations and restoration of community infrastructure following a storm, benefiting approximately 23,500 residents.
In Malta, initiatives developed with BirdLife Malta included cleaning and maintenance of 500 square meters of protected areas, removal of 20 kilograms of waste and support for the care of more than 300 native plants.
Mentorship and shared purpose.
The program also incorporated mentorship and employability initiatives. In Germany, volunteers conducted career guidance sessions for students from vulnerable backgrounds through ReDI School.
Ioanna Kozadinou, Senior Manager of Corporate Responsibility at Kaizen Gaming, said:
“The scale and impact of the work carried out through The Collective continues to grow and create real and lasting impact across the projects we support. It has been inspiring to see the results Kaizeners have achieved by bringing together colleagues from different markets to support environmental sustainability, biodiversity and community initiatives. From habitat restoration and wildlife care to recycling projects and community recovery efforts, these activities demonstrate how focused, hands-on volunteering can generate tangible benefits for ecosystems and local communities, while also strengthening engagement and shared purpose within our organization.”
From environmental restoration projects in Colombia and Greece to recycling initiatives in Brazil and community recovery efforts in Portugal, The Collective focused its activities on sustainability and social support initiatives in communities where Kaizen Gaming operates.
