Globant enables AI Agents with transactional capabilities

The latest release of Globant Enterprise AI empowers autonomous agents to make purchases and perform other actions within conversational workflows.

In a world where artificial intelligence is advancing at an unprecedented pace, Globant is bringing that future closer to businesses. The company has unveiled version 2.3 of Globant Enterprise AI (GEAI), its proprietary AI platform, which introduces the Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP)—enabling, for the first time, AI agents to conduct transactions directly through conversational interfaces.

This breakthrough was announced just hours after OpenAI introduced the ACP protocol, positioning Globant among the first companies to implement this technology.
Martín Migoya, Co-founder and CEO of Globant, stated:

“Leading the integration of AI into business operations means taking bold steps forward. With version 2.3 of Globant Enterprise AI, we are doing just that—introducing transactional capabilities to AI Agents.”

Interoperability and Scalability

The new version also enhances GEAI’s interoperability by incorporating emerging standards such as the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication.

These integrations allow enterprises to design, deploy, and scale AI solutions within complex corporate ecosystems—leveraging an architecture that seamlessly adapts to diverse systems and contexts.

Gastón Milano, CTO of Globant Enterprise AI, explains:

“Globant Enterprise AI was built as a flexible, adaptive platform capable of rapidly integrating new models and protocols. With version 2.3, our clients can now explore AI Agents that securely execute transactions at scale. This confirms that GEAI is not just about powering conversations—it’s about enabling real business operations.”

From Chat to Action

The most innovative feature in this release is the ACP, which, according to OpenAI, underpins the concept of “Instant Checkout.” With this protocol, users, agents, and businesses can interact within a single conversation to complete a purchase—eliminating the need for traditional interfaces.

ACP leverages existing payment systems and offers a secure, compatible, and scalable framework tailored for enterprise environments.

Although version 2.3 of GEAI will be available in the coming days on an exclusive, invite-only basis, Globant has already begun pilot programs with current and prospective clients.

Real-World Impact

GEAI is already delivering measurable results in industries undergoing rapid modernization. According to the company, organizations using the platform have reduced legacy system modernization times by 80%, significantly enhancing their responsiveness to market dynamics.

In software development, clients have reported cost reductions of up to 50%, highlighting a substantial improvement in operational efficiency.
