Technological innovation is advancing at

an accelerated pace, and businesses must be prepared to adapt to the emerging trends that are transforming industries.

In its NTT DATA Technology Foresight 2025 report, the firm reveals five key trends that will mark the evolution of digital transformation in Latin America, ranging from artificial intelligence to digital sustainability.

These areas are not only redefining the way we work and consume but are also shaping the future of business competitiveness.

1. Enhanced Human Skills.

The integration of technologies such as generative AI, vector databases, and process automation is changing the way people work, expanding their capacity beyond traditional limits of time and knowledge.

With the consolidation of Agentic AI, which includes autonomous intelligent agents capable of solving complex problems, the impact on employee productivity could be significant.

According to the report, employees currently spend up to 20% of their workday searching for information, 28% managing emails, and 14% collaborating.

Reducing just 30 minutes per day in data search could save over 1.5 million euros annually for a company with 1,000 employees.

2. Smart Environmental Experiences.

The convergence of the physical and digital worlds is taking experience personalization to the next level. From digital humans interacting in real-time to digital twins of customers, technology is creating more intuitive and emotional experiences.

73% of customers consider experience a key factor when deciding their purchases, according to NTT DATA. This has led companies to innovate in omnichannel strategies and personalization to remain competitive in an environment that increasingly demands personalized and automated interactions.

3. Digital Sustainability and Economic Resilience.

Digital sustainability is positioning itself as a key tool not only for ecological balance but also for improving efficiency and competitiveness in businesses.

Companies that adopt these practices can increase their efficiency by up to 20% and significantly reduce operational costs, improving their market performance.

Additionally, technologies like digital twins, computer vision, and photonics are transforming the concept of sustainability, enabling its integration into key areas such as energy management, environmental monitoring, and the creation of circular supply chains.

4. Convergence Towards Cognitive Cloud.

The convergence of cloud computing and artificial intelligence is revolutionizing business management. It is predicted that by 2025, the global volume of data will reach 175 zettabytes, necessitating more agile and robust processing infrastructures.

Technologies such as cloud orchestration, edge intelligence, and serverless computing are opening new opportunities in fields such as smart cities, AI-driven network optimization, and high-security financial services.

5. Accelerated Fusion of Security.

With the skyrocketing increase in digital threats, businesses must adopt a more proactive approach to protection. Cybercrime is expected to cost $10.5 trillion globally this year, forcing organizations to integrate cybersecurity platforms that are more dynamic and anticipate attacks before they happen.

Technologies such as automated cyber threat response and AI-powered penetration testing are redefining how businesses protect themselves against cybercriminals.

These five trends are not a futuristic vision but a reality that is already taking shape and transforming business in Latin America. The key for businesses will be to adapt quickly to capitalize on these opportunities before the competition does.
