Palo Alto unveils solutions that redefine the boundaries of cybersecurity

 

Palo Alto Networks has announced the
launch of two new cybersecurity and SASE solutions: Cortex XSIAM® 3.0 and Prisma® Access Browser 2.0. These innovations strengthen the company’s leadership in secure access and threat management.

Both tools are designed to meet the demands of a digital environment that is increasingly decentralized, cloud-driven, and powered by artificial intelligence (AI).

Advancing Proactive Security.

Cortex XSIAM, Palo Alto’s security operations (SecOps) platform, has been upgraded with Cortex Exposure Management and advanced email protection. These capabilities are powered by sophisticated AI to help organizations adopt a proactive security posture.

This marks a significant evolution from traditional cybersecurity solutions. Palo Alto Networks estimates the total addressable market for these tools at $37 billion.

Since its launch three years ago, Cortex XSIAM has generated over $1 billion in cumulative bookings—making it the fastest-growing product in the company’s history.

Version 3.0 now integrates with Cortex Cloud, enhancing detection and response from source code through the cloud and into the Security Operations Center (SOC).

Key innovations in Cortex XSIAM 3.0 include:

Cortex Exposure Management: Cuts vulnerability noise by up to 99%, prioritizes risks with AI, provides real-time visibility, and automates remediation and prevention.

Advanced Email Security: Detects evasive threats and generative AI-based phishing, while correlating attack vectors across email, identity, devices, and cloud infrastructure.

Enterprise-Grade Secure Browser.

As part of its SASE offerings, Palo Alto Networks introduced Prisma Access Browser 2.0—a secure browser designed to safeguard the workspace where 85% of modern work takes place.

This solution addresses web browser-based threats, which account for nearly half of all security incidents.

John Grady, Principal Analyst at Enterprise Strategy Group (Omdia), noted:

“A secure browser extends SASE protections to where knowledge workers spend most of their time, securing third-party access, supporting BYOD, and reducing organizational dependence on legacy infrastructure like VDI.”

Notable features of the new browser include:

• Last-mile protection against generative AI threats
• Advanced detection of web-based attacks
• A seamless user experience that bridges legacy and modern applications in a high-performance environment

Anand Oswal, SVP and GM of Network Security at Palo Alto Networks, emphasized:

“Secure browsers are absolutely essential for today’s workforce, which is increasingly remote, cloud-based, and data-driven. This shift demands a unified, modern security approach—a natively integrated secure SASE browser—that uniquely protects productivity, supports resilience, and delivers a frictionless user experience.”

Enhancements to Prisma SASE.

Palo Alto Networks also announced upgrades to its Prisma SASE platform to further support enterprise productivity and resilience. Enhancements include:

• Stronger insider threat protection with Endpoint DLP
• Improved performance for productivity apps via App Acceleration for Branch with Prisma SD-WAN
• Simplified management through a Unified SASE Agent
• Expanded global availability and operational resilience through integration with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

According to Palo Alto Networks, these new features will be available worldwide in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025.
