Cybercrime is no longer solely a technological challenge for organizations. The evolution of threats is increasing the need for specialized capabilities to implement and manage security solutions, while manufacturers and distributors are expanding the role of their partners in this market.
Against this backdrop, TD SYNNEX and Cisco officially introduced Guardians Program during Security Experience LATAM 2026, an event held in Santa Marta, Colombia. The program is designed to support Cisco partners as they evolve toward more specialized, consultative and managed-services-oriented models.
The initiative begins with an assessment of each partner’s level of cybersecurity maturity and establishes a personalized development path. The process includes technical and commercial training, certifications, presales support, demand generation and guidance to accelerate business opportunities.
The program is already operating in several countries across the region and aims to expand its reach by bringing new partners into the TD SYNNEX and Cisco security ecosystem.

The scale of the challenge is reflected in data that IDC will present during Security Experience LATAM 2026. Cybercrime has reached an estimated global cost of US$10.5 trillion, while 80% of security breaches originate from compromised identities.
The same analysis indicates that organizations with consolidated security platforms detect threats up to 30% faster than those operating fragmented environments.
The growing use of artificial intelligence to develop more sophisticated attacks is adding to this pressure. The threats identified include highly personalized phishing, adaptive malware and deepfake-based fraud, increasing the need for specialized talent and integrated protection strategies.
The technology channel seeks a more specialized role
Guardians Program aims to address part of this challenge by strengthening partners’ capabilities to deliver more advanced security solutions and develop managed services. The model also seeks to help these providers generate recurring revenue and expand their commercial reach in an increasingly competitive market.
The initiative therefore reflects a shift in the role of the technology channel: beyond selling solutions, partners are seeking to take on more specialized functions and become strategic advisors for organizations facing increasingly complex digital risks.
