TCS expands sovereign cloud strategy to european markets
Digital sovereignty is becoming a priority for governments and organizations operating in highly regulated environments.
Tata Consultancy Services announced a new cloud offering designed to strengthen control over data, operations and digital infrastructure across Europe.
The growing importance of digital sovereignty is prompting governments, public-sector entities and organizations in regulated industries to rethink how they manage data and technology infrastructure.
In this context, Tata Consultancy Services announced the launch of SovereignSecure Cloud™ in Europe, a cloud offering designed to address data sovereignty, operational sovereignty and digital infrastructure requirements.
According to the company, the solution is aimed at governments, public-sector organizations and industries subject to specific regulatory requirements, combining cloud capabilities with artificial intelligence tools.
The European launch follows earlier deployments in India in 2025, as well as subsequent expansions into Kenya, East Africa and the Philippines.
A digital sovereignty approach.
According to TCS, the platform was designed to provide different levels of control over technology infrastructure and organizational data.
The offering includes a sovereign cloud layer built on global infrastructure providers, intended to maintain scalability and flexibility while complying with European Union regulatory frameworks.
It also incorporates a national sovereign cloud layer that can be adapted to country-specific requirements while maintaining integrated operational management.
The architecture further includes a services layer based on the TCS Enterprise Cloud Framework for the European Union, designed to help organizations manage varying sovereignty requirements based on workload characteristics, industry needs and risk profiles.
According to the company, this approach enables organizations to apply different levels of sovereignty across data, operations and technology based on their specific needs.
Consulting for regulated environments.
As part of the initiative, TCS also announced the introduction of its Sovereignty Consulting and Delivery Framework in Europe.
According to the company, the framework is designed to help organizations determine which processes, applications and data require higher levels of protection and which can operate under more flexible models.
The approach proposes a workload classification methodology based on risk and operational importance to determine the appropriate sovereignty requirements for each case.
