Salesforce expands use of AI Agents in enterprise workflows

The Salesforce solution aims to reduce cycle times by up to 70% and cut manual data entry in administrative processes by 80%.

The adoption of AI agents is advancing across enterprises, yet many internal processes remain anchored in manual tasks.

Salesforce introduced Agentforce Operations to transform administrative management through agents that execute and coordinate end-to-end processes.

In environments where operational speed contrasts with fragmented processes, companies face delays that affect day-to-day operations. Teams switching between systems, copying data into spreadsheets, and relying on email often see tasks that should take hours extend into days or weeks, impacting productivity, revenue, and costs.

In this context, Salesforce introduced Agentforce Operations, a solution that transforms manual administrative processes into structured tasks that can be executed by specialized agents. The proposal covers process coordination, data verification, regulatory compliance, and approval management, with reported outcomes including a 50% to 70% reduction in cycle times and up to 80% less manual data entry.

Administrative transformation.

As explained by Aman Naimat, SVP & GM, Agentforce Operations:

“As companies accelerate the adoption of AI to become agentic, most are still held back by an underlying layer of fragmented and manual processes across supply chain, procurement, finance, and the back office in general. This quietly slows down operations, increasing costs and limiting growth. With Agentforce Operations, we are not only digitizing these processes, but rethinking them for an AI-first world. This optimizes the way agents and people work together.”

The solution extends AI agents into enterprise processes, enabling end-to-end execution of administrative workflows. In practice, this means agents can orchestrate full processes: from inventory verification and supplier coordination in manufacturing, to credit application assessment in banking, claims management in insurance, or technology access administration in corporate environments.

This approach is based on a model designed to overcome the limitations of traditional automation when facing complex tasks. According to Salesforce’s approach, agents do not only organize work, but execute it, adapt to changes, and collaborate with people when necessary, resulting in faster processes with reduced manual intervention and built-in auditability.

Agent-based automation.

Agentforce Operations integrates autonomous capabilities and continuous execution, including data extraction, calculations, model updates, or compliance checks; background operation within common tools such as email, Slack, or Microsoft Teams; and the combination of large language models with business rules to process complex information and generate consistent outputs.

The solution also incorporates the generation of structured blueprints and the use of predefined templates from unstructured documents within minutes, along with more than 30 options for common processes.

In addition, it includes continuous adaptation features such as plain-language updates, proactive detection of delays, and detailed logging of every action for real-time auditability.

Adaptation and control.

Salesforce states that this technology is based on Regrello and its application in supply chain environments, with outcomes aimed at reducing cycle times, eliminating manual tasks, and improving operational visibility.

Brandon Metcalf, CEO & Founder of Asymbl, shares his experience:

“Adapting to growth without the massive overhead of traditional hiring is a major challenge when coordinating teams across both customer service and administrative functions. Salesforce has improved our infrastructure and helped us implement Teddy, our AI agent that works autonomously alongside our human team to manage more than 1,000 leads per week. Teddy has helped us achieve a 427% increase in lead engagement and $1.5 million in savings, allowing us to operate like a company ten times our size. By automating lead qualification and scheduling in a single platform, we are reducing manual bottlenecks and enabling our teams to focus on building strong customer relationships.”

The launch is positioned as a proposal to reorganize processes through AI agents, aiming to reduce reliance on manual tasks and improve operational efficiency within organizations.
