Zoho unveils its AI arsenal, featuring a proprietary model and over 25 agents

Zoho Corporation has launched its latest artificial intelligence (AI) offerings, which include its proprietary Large Language Model (LLM), named Zia LLM; more than 25 new AI agents available on its Marketplace; a no-code custom agent builder called Zia Agent Studio; and a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server to integrate Zoho actions with agents from other providers.
These innovations aim to enable organizations to fully leverage contextual and assisted AI to enhance daily workflows across multiple domains, delivering operational and financial benefits enterprise-wide.
In-House and Optimized Model.
Mani Vembu, CEO of Zoho, emphasizes:
“This announcement underscores Zoho’s long-term vision to develop foundational technology centered on protecting customer data, broad and deep capabilities, and delivering value. Because Zoho’s AI initiatives are developed internally, we can provide users with cutting-edge tools at a lower cost, without compromising data privacy or organizational flexibility—democratizing the latest technology on a global scale.”
A Model Built from the Ground Up.
Zia LLM is a language model entirely developed by Zoho, leveraging NVIDIA’s AI-accelerated computing platform.
It is trained for specific Zoho product use cases such as structured data extraction, summarization, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and code generation.
The model architecture combines three models with 7 billion, 2.6 billion, and 1.3 billion parameters, optimized for contextual use and delivering competitive performance compared to similar open-source models.
This design enables selecting the appropriate model based on the user’s context, striking a balance between power and resource efficiency—a strategy that will continue evolving.
Additionally, Zoho has launched two proprietary Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) models for English and Hindi, offering up to 75% improved accuracy and reduced computational load compared to comparable models. Other languages will be supported in the coming months.
While the company integrates other LLMs such as ChatGPT, Llama, and DeepSeek, Zia LLM remains committed to privacy by ensuring that data stays on Zoho’s servers without being sent to external cloud AI providers.
Currently, Zia LLM is deployed in data centers across the United States, India, and Europe and is in internal testing across various applications. It is expected to become available to customers within the next few months.
Prebuilt Agents for Enterprises.
Zoho has developed over 25 prebuilt agents, seamlessly integrated into its products, designed to perform role-specific business functions such as sales development, customer support, and account management.
The latest version of Ask Zia, Zoho’s AI conversational assistant, now incorporates business intelligence capabilities tailored for engineers, analysts, and data scientists, including pipeline construction, analysis and reporting, and machine learning model support.
The Customer Service Agent, integrated within Zoho Desk, can triage incoming requests, understand their context, and either respond directly or escalate the interaction to a human representative, enhancing support efficiency.
Agent Creation and Collaboration.
Zoho has simplified Zia Agent Studio to enable the creation of custom agents without coding, providing access to over 700 actions within its ecosystem.
Agents can operate autonomously, trigger automations, or engage in customer conversations.
These digital agents adhere to organizational permissions and authorizations, while administrators can audit their performance to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
Zoho’s Marketplace, which already hosts over 2,500 extensions, now includes a dedicated section exclusively for AI agents.
Going forward, partners, integrators, and developers will be able to create and host their own agents, facilitating widespread adoption of this technology.
Notable agents include:
Revenue Growth Specialist: Identifies upselling and cross-selling opportunities, recommending marketing strategies.
Business Analyst: Provides insights on deal closure probability, recommended actions, and follow-up.
Intelligent Candidate Filter: Screens and selects suitable candidates for job openings based on requirements and experience.
Zoho will continue adding new agents to cover more business functions.
With over 55 integrated applications, the platform enables the creation of highly specialized agents tailored to each organization’s needs.
Interoperability with MCP.
Zoho has adopted the Model Context Protocol (MCP), offering an MCP server with a broad library of actions across more than 15 Zoho applications, available via an Early Access program.
Additionally, Zoho Flow facilitates third-party tool integration, and Zoho Analytics supports a local MCP server.
By the end of 2025, Zoho plans to expand Zia LLM’s parameters, increase voice recognition language support—including European and Indian languages—and introduce a Reasoning Language Model (RLM).
Ask Zia will incorporate new features tailored for Finance and Customer Support teams, while support for the Agent2Agent protocol will enable Zia agents to collaborate with one another and with agents on other platforms.
