During its annual SAP Sapphire conference, technology company SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) announced a series of innovations and strategic partnerships that mark the beginning of a new chapter in enterprise Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption.
With these developments, the company aims to democratize access to AI and promises to drive business productivity gains of up to 30%.
Expansion of Joule.
Among the most notable announcements is the expansion of Joule, SAP’s generative AI copilot, which can now assist users throughout their entire workday, both inside and outside SAP applications.
Powered by a new action bar driven by SAP WalkMe, Joule not only responds to requests but also anticipates user needs based on behavioral patterns, all while adhering to strict ethical AI guidelines.

A key new partnership was announced with Perplexity, a company specializing in AI-driven answer engines.
This collaboration enables Joule to integrate structured and unstructured information in real time, supported by the SAP Knowledge Graph.
As a result, users gain immediate, visual responses — such as charts or tables — that facilitate decision-making in complex scenarios.

Additionally, SAP unveiled an expanded network of AI agents capable of operating across multiple systems and business areas.
These agents, coordinated by Joule and fueled by real-time business data, can autonomously execute processes, anticipate environmental needs, and adapt rapidly.
New capabilities span customer experience, supply chain, expense management, finance, and human resources.
The company also introduced AI Foundation, an enterprise AI operating system that will empower developers to create, deploy, and scale customized solutions from a single access point.
This platform consolidates new and existing tools to foster large-scale innovation within organizations.
Partnerships and cloud migration.
Regarding data utilization, SAP introduced intelligent applications tailored to specific business lines within SAP Business Data Cloud.
These solutions possess the ability to learn, anticipate outcomes, and guide strategic actions.
One such application, People Intelligence, transforms people and skills data into actionable recommendations to enhance team performance.
Another strategic alliance was revealed between SAP and Palantir, focused on accelerating cloud migration and technological modernization.
The integration between Palantir and SAP Business Data Cloud aims to harmonize data across organizations and deliver results responsibly, including projects for entities such as the U.S. government.
As part of its strategy to facilitate cloud adoption, SAP presented new SAP Business Suite packages that incorporate SAP Build, enabling organizations to tailor applications to their specific needs.
Finally, the company launched a solution designed to accelerate the cloud transition.
Supported by Joule and complemented by tools like SAP Signavio and SAP LeanIX, this solution provides personalized guidance and actionable recommendations, with the potential to generate value returns up to 35% faster.
