Incode–AuthenticID alliance strengthens AI-powered fraud defenses

Incode has announced the acquisition of AuthenticID in a strategic move aimed at bolstering digital trust amid the growing sophistication of AI-enabled fraud and the rapid adoption of autonomous agents.
The merger of the two companies marks the creation of a comprehensive, secure, scalable, and intelligent digital identity platform—targeting a market projected to reach $116 billion by 2027.
This acquisition is expected to serve as a catalyst for accelerating Incode’s already impressive 80% annual organic growth, while further solidifying its position as a global leader.
Ricardo Amper, Founder and CEO of Incode, commented:
“With the acquisition of AuthenticID, Incode is not only competing globally—we are leading the way, while driving innovation across our region. In Colombia alone, around 17% of users have fallen victim to digital identity theft, and 19% have experienced cybercrime in the past year. Together, Incode and AuthenticID processed over 4.1 billion identity verifications in 2024, giving companies worldwide the assurance that every digital interaction is secure and trustworthy.”
Strengthening the Frontline Against Fraud.
This strategic move aims to extend Incode’s impact and empower more clients to eliminate fraud while driving business growth.
Powered by advanced neural networks and visual language models, Incode’s AI solutions deliver real-time fraud detection and prevention with exceptional speed and accuracy.
AuthenticID, for its part, brings deep expertise in regulated, high-volume environments, delivering not only world-class technology but also professional services and proven execution.
Together, the companies position themselves as the first line of defense against AI-driven fraud—including threats such as deepfakes and real-time impersonation using generative tools. Notably, this type of fraud has surged by 300% in account openings over the past year.
Moreover, the use of autonomous AI agents continues to rise. According to Gartner, more than 25% of consumer interactions will be fully managed by such agents. Without a robust identity infrastructure, these technologies remain vulnerable to impersonation attacks.
Amper emphasized:
“In the age of synthetic fraud and AI-driven impersonation, identity verification has become the cornerstone of digital trust. Together with AuthenticID, we’re reinforcing the first line of defense against these threats—ensuring that every company can rely on each interaction. This also allows us to expand our capabilities and value proposition in markets such as Colombia.”
Reed Taussig, CEO of AuthenticID, also highlighted:
“As fraud becomes more sophisticated, our clients need more than point solutions—they require a comprehensive, end-to-end approach, supported by a true strategic partner. Incode’s vision and technological leadership empower us to deliver a secure, agile, and highly adaptable identity platform to an increasingly global customer base.”
