AI-Powered platform aims to support neurodivergent university students

Artificial intelligence is playing a growing role in the development of support tools for students with diverse learning and accessibility needs.

Globant, Cascadience and Viability announced a digital platform designed to support independence among neurodivergent university students.


The use of artificial intelligence in education continues to expand into areas related to inclusion, accessibility and personalized support for students with different learning needs.

In this context, Globant announced a partnership with Cascadience LLC and Viability to develop a series of AI-powered digital platforms aimed at increasing autonomy and participation for people with disabilities across educational and social environments.

The first solution resulting from the collaboration will focus on neurodivergent university students and individuals experiencing stress or anxiety during their academic journey.

According to the organizations, the platform will include tools designed to support task organization, decision-making, activity planning and social engagement, with an emphasis on independence and personalized user experiences.

The initiative seeks to complement existing support services through digital resources designed to assist students’ academic, social, professional and everyday development.

From in-person support to digital services.

The project builds on more than 55 years of experience developed by Viability through disability support programs across the United States.

According to the organizations, the goal is to extend elements of that support model into scalable digital platforms capable of expanding access to personalized services.

Globant stated that it will contribute expertise in artificial intelligence architecture, data integration, digital accessibility and user experience design to develop the platform’s technology infrastructure.

According to the company, the system will incorporate intelligent tools for activity organization, adaptive support and secure personal information management.

Accessibility and independence.

The platform will be developed under a mobile-first approach and will comply with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards, as well as regulatory requirements related to education and healthcare data protection.
