Aon reorganizes leadership across EMEA and Latin America
Aon announced leadership changes across its EMEA and Latin America operations as part of a broader strategy to strengthen its global client-service model in an increasingly volatile business environment.
Aon announced a new regional leadership reorganization affecting its EMEA and Latin America operations as part of its strategy to strengthen integrated capabilities and accelerate its global client-service model.
The company said Kai-Frank Buechter and Tracy-Lee Kus will assume roles as co-CEOs of EMEA beginning June 1. Buechter will oversee Continental Europe and North Africa, while Kus will lead the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa and the Middle East.
In addition, Pedro Penalva will become CEO of Latin America starting July 1.
All three executives will report directly to Greg Case, President and Global CEO of Aon, and will join the company’s Executive Committee.
Aon also confirmed that Alfonso Gallego de Chaves will assume the role of Deputy CEO of EMEA beginning June 1, while Andrea Parisi will become Chair of Continental Europe starting in January 2027, both reporting to Buechter.
The company added that North America and APAC will continue under the leadership of Anne Corona and Jennifer Richards, respectively.
Regional reorganization and global strategy.
According to Aon, the leadership changes are intended to strengthen execution of its Aon United strategy, focused on integrating global Risk Capital and Human Capital capabilities to respond to a more volatile and complex environment for clients.

New leadership for EMEA.
Kai-Frank Buechter has spent more than 26 years at Aon and most recently served as CEO of the DACH region, overseeing Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The company stated that he previously held positions related to commercial leadership and client management in Germany.
“Clients across EMEA are facing greater volatility and complexity,” Buechter noted, adding that he plans to strengthen capabilities and expertise for clients throughout the region.
Meanwhile, Tracy-Lee Kus brings more than three decades of experience in underwriting and brokerage roles, with leadership experience spanning South Africa, the United Kingdom and Asia.
She most recently served as CEO of Aon’s Global Broking Center, where she led strategies related to global capacity access and client solutions.
Kus also currently serves as Chair of the London and International Insurance Brokers’ Association (LIIBA).

Pedro Penalva to lead Latin America.
Pedro Penalva will assume leadership of Aon in Latin America after more than 15 years within the organization and following regional and global roles related to enterprise clients and multinational operations.
Most recently, Penalva led the Enterprise Clients division for EMEA, working with more than 150 enterprise clients across 10 countries in the region.
The company also noted that he previously served as CEO of Iberia, Africa and Israel, CEO of Aon Portugal and Chief Commercial Officer for multinational accounts across EMEA.
“It is a great honor to lead Aon in Latin America and serve our colleagues and clients across the region,” Penalva emphasized.
Leadership transition and continuity.
As part of the transition, Julie Page and Alejandro Galizia will assume regional chair roles for EMEA and Latin America, respectively, during 2026 before becoming senior advisors to the company in 2027.
Aon also stated that Jane Kielty will support the leadership transition across the United Kingdom, Ireland and South Africa.
The company indicated that these changes are part of a broader strategy designed to strengthen regional coordination, integrated capabilities and client support in an increasingly complex and volatile global environment.
