Will AI save marketing? not without humans

Marketing is facing its greatest challenge yet: adapting to a world dominated by AI, fragmented platforms, and users demanding genuine personalization.

What happens when the marketing funnel stops working?

HubSpot proposes a new path: fewer clicks, more real connections—driven by AI and human ingenuity.

In a landscape where 60% of Google searches result in zero clicks, the rules of marketing are shifting. At its global event in San Francisco, HubSpot unveiled Loop Marketing, a new methodology designed to transform how businesses connect with audiences in the age of artificial intelligence (AI), combining the power of human creativity with the analytical strength of technology.

With this approach, the company—renowned for pioneering inbound marketing since the early days of the internet—advocates for a necessary evolution. Loop Marketing retains the core principles of inbound: delivering value, educating audiences, and building lasting relationships. However, it adapts these fundamentals to a reality where customers no longer arrive organically at websites, and AI often resolves their queries before they even click.

Kipp Bodnar, HubSpot’s Chief Marketing Officer, states:

“Funnel theory used to assume that customers would come to you. They’d visit your website, read your blog, and convert on your terms. But when 60% of searches never leave Google and AI answers questions before prospects even click, that theory no longer holds.”

A Strategy for the Present

In response to this shift, Loop Marketing introduces a model that meets customers where they are—whether that’s TikTok, YouTube, podcasts, or language model-driven platforms like ChatGPT or Perplexity—and uses AI to personalize each message, learn from every interaction, and respond in real time.

Loop Marketing is built on four key stages: Definition, Adaptation, Amplification, and Optimization.

1) Definition: Before leveraging AI tools, brands must clearly define their identity, tone, and purpose. Deep customer insight enables the creation of authentic and distinctive messaging.

2) Adaptation: AI should be used to deliver personalization at scale. Every message should feel relevant, human, and relatable—even if it’s generated with technological support.

Connecting with New Audiences

3) Amplification: This phase focuses on diversifying formats and channels to reach audiences where they actually consume content. It means being present not only on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, or Reddit, but also in the environments where AI directly delivers information.

4) Optimization: AI enables continuous learning and real-time improvement. Gone are the days of waiting months to assess performance. With this methodology, campaigns can be measured, predicted, and refined almost instantly—even anticipating interactions before they happen.

Colombia Keeps Pace with Digital Trends

In the Colombian market, data reinforces the urgency of adaptation. According to the report “The Vision of Marketing in 2025”, Instagram (71.5%) and TikTok (70.3%) are seen as the most effective platforms for brands in the country.

Short-form video has also proven to be the most efficient format, with 60.3% of respondents confirming it offers higher returns in less time.

By implementing Loop Marketing, marketing teams can launch campaigns faster, build more personalized relationships, lower acquisition costs through smarter segmentation, and continuously improve as AI learns and adapts.

Bodnar explains:

“The Loop Marketing methodology is fundamentally different. It meets customers wherever they are, leverages AI to personalize messages at scale, and transforms every interaction into a learning opportunity that sharpens strategy. By using this approach, teams will turn AI into their competitive edge.”

Far from replacing human talent, HubSpot’s vision is to empower it. AI doesn’t replace creativity—but it amplifies its impact, helping it go further, faster, and with stronger results.
